Water treatment and Bath Facility

This is a Project that was started and we are excited to complete it.

The Problem

For the last 20 years the bathrooms and showers for the camp have been housed in a yurt.

The yurt has bathrooms in one half of the building and showers in the other half. Due to the limited space, there is only one shower facility for both boys and girls, requiring staggering of the showers during peak usage of the camp.

The yurt has now reached the end of it’s useful life and is in poor shape due to the harsh winters at 8,600 feet.

The Water System

Our water system must also be moved into a permanent structure to meet state regulations. This will also enable winter usage of the camp.

The Project

As a solution to these issues, Routt County has approved a conditional use permit and master plan for new and expanded facilities.

The first stage of this improvement is our shower, bathroom, and water system facilities.

Starting in 2013 this building needs to be completed with the inside necessities to make this a functioning facility.

With various donations of time and materials, the estimated cost to finish this project is ~1 million to complete the building of this vital structure for the camp.

We appreciate your interest in Mount Elim Bible Camp and the project for the shower and water building. Please prayerfully consider if you would be a partner with the camp for this very important project.

We welcome you to come and visit Mt. Elim and see the camp and this specific project for yourself. The camp is a wonderful location for personal spiritual retreats.

All donations designated for the building project are kept in a separate capital improvements fund. Financial statements for this project and the camp are available upon request.

Donations can be made payable to Mt. Elim Bible Camp with a notation for the building fund.
